This is a great opportunity to see Mother Nature at her best. Take advantage of our evening bear walks and natural moose viewings to discover hunting in a whole new way. Experience “point and shoot“ in a whole new way using only your camera. During these walks you will capture the most breathtaking views of all wildlife in the great north with our experienced guide.

Things to do in the Kaby Wilderness

The beautiful beach along the shoreline at front of the lodge makes for exceptional swimming. For those wishing to venture away from the main lodge onto the lake paddle-boats, kayaks and canoes are also available.

Kaby Lake offers over 30,802 acres of surface water and is home to many species of birds and water fowl for the nature enthusiast.

Ospreys, Bald eagles and Golden eagle nests can be seen from the comfort of your own boat.

Rock Hounds will appreciate a visit to the Old Hiawatha Gold mine site. It is located directly across the bay from the old forestry fire tower which can be seen from many places on the lake. Unwind and enjoy fishing off the airplane dock or a friendly game of horseshoes.

A fire pit is available for those wishing to enjoy an evening fire. Photographers will have plenty of opportunity to capture all types of wildlife on film including bear, moose, wolves, eagles, osprey, loons, ducks, beaver and many more.
